Step1:
Stay in a Buddhist monastery as an eight precepts 'attha sila'
layperson for one or more months
Step2:
6 months as a white robed 'anagarika'
request for 'shraamanera' (full alms mendicant) through 'pabajja' to be a 'parivrajaka
Step3:
study monk rules (vinaya) and acquire basic skills such as chanting, making robes etc at least for 1 year
become part of 'bhikkhu' or 'bhikkhuni sangha through upasampada' ordination
Step4:
supervision for new monks under senior teacher for at least 5
Years

Step1:
Among Christians, the first step is Self preparation reading Biblical literature, rules, traditions etc

Work with the Vocation Director of a community

Aspirancy / Pre Candidacy

Postulancy/Candidacy

First Vows or Temporary vows as a Juniorate

Final Vows or Perpetual vows

To adopt Hindu monasticism, complete Class 10 with any
subjects

Class 11 12 in any stream

Bachelor degree in any discipline
Step4:
Pre probation for 3 years
Step5:
Probationary training for 2 years
Step6:
4 more years of disciplined life or asceticism
Step7:
Get inducted into Ramakrishna Order, ISKCON or similar
